Many people’s dream is to own a Land Rover, whether they can get their hands on a brand new one or spend their time lovingly updating an older model with reconditioned Land Rover engines.
But the ultimate fantasy of any Land Rover enthusiast is not just to own any one of these vehicles, but the Land Rover inspired by the fictional legend James Bond.
For one lucky person, this dream will become a reality soon, as the Land Rover Defender 110 V8 Bond Edition is set to go up for auction soon.
The car, which was inspired by the Bond film No Time To Die, released in 2021 and starring Daniel Craig as Bond, was one of ten sold in the UK, so the demand for this iconic vehicle is set to be huge.
Having been built with the most famous spy in the world in mind, it has some fantastic features that would make any Land Rover enthusiast drool.
For a start, it has a 5.0-litre V8 engine, which produces 518 horsepower. It can go from 0 to 60mph in as little as 4.9 seconds, can reach speeds of 149mph, and has, shockingly, only travelled 384 miles during its lifetime.
Bond fans will love its ‘Defender 007’ treadplates, infotainment start-up screen that celebrates Bond’s legacy, 007 graphic puddle lights, and all-black interior, making it look ever so classy.
The vehicle is expected to get bids of up to £155,000, which is approximately £60,000 more than it was originally bought for, thanks to how few of these vehicles were manufactured. Of course, any James Bond fan will be dying to get their hands on this, as much as Land Rover collectors.
