It’s no secret that supply chains around the world are experiencing disruption due to geopolitical events at present, so it’s perhaps little surprise that Jaguar Land Rover is taking a two-week pause at one of its largest plants in the UK.
According to Reuters, the Solihull Jaguar Land Rover plant will halt production of Range Rover and Range Rover Sport models for two weeks – although this does include a planned five-day shutdown in production over the Easter weekend.
The reason for the shutdown is a parts issue with a supplier, the news provider noted.
While this appears to be a brief shutdown in response to a specific issue, it does highlight the continually strong market for second-hand Land Rovers.
After all, these vehicles are known for their durability and finding reconditioned Land Rover engines for sale could be a good option if you want to bring an older model back to its best and reinvigorate it for new adventures on the UK’s roads.
Even if you’re not planning to replace your Land Rover engine, it is still valuable to visit a specialist who can diagnose and repair any issues with your vehicle’s engine quickly and efficiently.
It’s also essential that you book in your Land Rover for regular services to ensure it stays in the best-possible condition both on and off-road.
That said, many drivers skip repair and servicing work on their vehicles according to RAC research, because they consider it to be a major inconvenience. In fact, a little over a quarter of UK drivers described servicing and repairing their vehicles as a hassle.
Even though Land Rovers are known for their durability, it is still a good idea to have your vehicle regularly serviced to prevent small issues turning into bigger and more expensive problems.
Plus if supply chain issues persist, being able to find reconditioned engines as well as specialist mechanics to help you fit them, could prove very valuable.
